Welcome to the homepage of Dr. Yang Lin's Microfluidics Laboratory at the University of Rhode Island. We seek to understand and exploit the knowledge at the interface of engineering, artificial intelligence, physics, chemistry and biomedicine. Our aim is to develop advanced microfluidic systems in conjunction with additive manufacturing, deep learning, data harnessing, and biomedical methodologies, and provide new solutions to existing challenges with respect to environmental monitoring, food safety, and human health.

Our main research interests include: 3D printed microfluidics, artificial intelligence-enhanced diagnosis, paper-based microfluidics, foil/film-based microfluidics, acoustofluidics, magnetofluidics, droplet microfluidics, and organ-on-a-chip. We believe efforts from these multidisciplinary studies would benefit societies and ensure a longer and healthier life for human kinds.
